21 months ago we started an amazing journey into the world of adoption. As I write this first blog I still cannot believe that the precious child photographed in this blog is ours! How great is God to give us this treasured gift of life? Chaeli Melina was well worth every day, every trial, every difficult challenge we faced along the way, and yes, there were many. Yet all of our longings have been more than met in this child who seems tailor made for our family. How did God know? I cannot answer that, but I can tell you that He has managed (once again) to give us the desires of our heart, and so much more than what we were asking for. If you are reading this and you are contemplating adoption in your heart I want you to know that there is a reason why you are thinking about it. Follow the still small voice within you, even when the odds seem to be against you. There were many things that came in the way of our adopting a child, but God helped us face each one, and now a great blessing is waiting for us in China. If we had to go through it all again we would. Adoption is never easy but the blessings you’ll encounter will keep you on your knees as you try to fathom that you could have missed all of this…the greatest journey of your life.

When we began our adoption journey we testified to the wonders that God was leading us through. We testify of our faith in Him that would make this all possible.
